The 16th Karmapa's Dream Flag

This flag came to H.H. Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, the 16th Karmapa, in a dream and was sewn from his drawings by Deborah Luscombe. He called it Namkhyen Gyaldar ; "Victorious Flag of the Buddha's Wisdom" and announced that the Dharma will flourish wherever the flag is flown.

The book that has me enthralled, and led me to the Dream Flag, is Mind Beyond Death by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, a contemporary gloss on the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Rinpoche Ponlop's stunning read brings the experience of the bardos to life and provides a map for what to expect in the "otherworld". His detailed description of the process of dying, where consciousness gradually separates from the body is fascinating, and makes the act of living and perceiving even more astonishing. A miraculous book that I found comforting in it's compassion.
